How It Works
Let's walk you step by step through the KidMarshal process
How does KidMarshal work?
In our existing schools where KidMarshal is installed, we have over a 50% improvement in pick-up line speed. Is that important? Ask the parents. Another benefit is the additional security of insuring the proper driver is picking up the children. Tying this into government child endangerment systems and notification systems for the parents, provides a level of comfort that parents can experience with no other system of it's type.
System requirements and Components
Step 1
The greeting teacher approaches incoming drivers and scans their KidMarshal driver app with their KidMarshal Admin App. This identifies the individual as an authorized driver and also provides visual confirmation. The teacher then selects from a list of children that driver is allowed to pick up.
Step 2
The names of the children are then listed in order either on the classroom(s) display or a common area display like a cafeteria. The children are then escorted to the pick up area for loading into the appropriate car.
Step 3
With the KidMarshal iPad app, the teacher at the loading location identifies each child by photo and the order they are and then pairs them with the authorized driver. The process is now complete and notifies the primary parent of another successful pick up!
Other considerations will be how you register drivers and what equipment will be needed to run that process. Below is a list of onsite equipment and what it is used for. This should allow you to scale it to fit your school's dismissal process. This is an example of a single line system. Additional lines (up to 4) may require additional equipment.
Tools & Features
CHECK IN MOBILE DEVICE
This device could be a number of different types, as long as it uses the Apple IOS or Google Android. Examples would be an Apple iPhone, Samsung Galaxy or tablets by Apple or Samsung. This device is to be provided by the school and is used to scan the drivers as they approach the school.
KidMarshal App
This is how each driver is identified individually. The KidMarshal App will have a unique identifier for that driver, which will be scanned for identification. The KidMarshal App is required by each driver.
Classroom or common area PC with Display
This device will retrieve the pickup queue information from KidMarshal and display it on a HD display or projector.
Check Out Tablet
This tablet device could be a number of different types as long as it uses the Apple IOS or Google Android. Examples would be an Apple iPad or Samsung Galaxytab. This device is to be provided by the school.
Registration Computer
This is the computer that is used to register a driver for the system. The only special requirement of this system is to be operating the Google Chrome web browser and have an available camera for pictures. The operating system can be Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac OS or the Chrome OS by Google. This device is to be provided by the school and does not have to be dedicated to this system but can do other things during the school day.
